With the potential of twice as many couples marrying this year, and still only 26 weekends in the year couples may find that a Saturday celebration isn’t feasible in 2021 and 2022.  But this shouldn’t be a source of sorrow- weekday weddings are growing in popularity for a variety of reasons, even prior to the pandemic. Based on 2018 Real Weddings study, one in five couples choose to say I do on a weekday. As a wedding professional who saw nearly their entire 2020 calendar postpone to 2021, I know I am becoming a fan of the weekday affair. 

Any of our clients will tell you that we highly encourage writing thank you notes the week before your wedding.  Not only is this a wonderful way to lift your spirits, it also frames your mind to be open to all the positivity that your celebration will bring.  Weddings are stressful, but focusing on the people involved in your celebration will guide your thoughts away from negativity. 

Perhaps the most uncomfortable aspect of a budget is seeing the reality of your spending habits in black and white.  But after you seeing this uncomfortable truth you will be better equipped to prioritize your wedding spending. And if you have your priorities in order you will be less likely to overspend needlessly.
