Happy Friday Eve Spouses To Be,

Bridal show season is upon us and excitement is in the air as you research vendors, make public your secret wedding Pinterest board (We all have them #weddinginspo ), and buy your tickets.

If this is the first time you are attending a bridal show or you are a seasoned attendee here are some great tips to help you gain the most out of the experience.

  • Be a Goal Getter -Write down why you are attending and what you hope to achieve at the bridal show.  These events are intended to showcase many vendors and for those vendors to gain exposure and, most importantly, your business.  This can create an overwhelming experience. By writing down your goals you won’t lose sight of why you are there.
  • Bring your Budget -Speaking of goals, you should also know your budget and how you are paying for your wedding.  Don’t have a budget? Think about what you can afford and how much of that total you would like to spend on flowers, food, entertainment, etc.  Write this information down and bring it with you.
  • Don’t Forget Labels – Make up a sheet (or 3!) of address labels that include your name, contact information, and wedding date. Many vendors will have giveaways or door prizes and this will allow you to quickly stick your label to the entry forms. Save extras for any future shows you attend.
  • Calendar your Consultations – Know your availability and have your calendar handy.  Before booking any vendor you should have a one on one consultation so that you can discuss the details of your event and depending on the popularity of the vendor, their calendar may be filling fast.  So be prepared to schedule those consultations at the bridal show.
  • Have Fun! – Always make sure you’re having fun! Your engagement should be fun, so make the most out of the show.  Be inspired, meet new people and if you are lucky walk away with the perfect wedding vendor and maybe a door prize or two!  And should you leave empty handed and discouraged contact us to take that stress and disappointment away.

If bridal shows aren’t of interest to you, check in next week to learn about alternative ways to book your wedding vendors.

Keep Celebrating,
Anika
