Tess and Will’s late summer wedding at Adirondack Camp in Putnam Station, New York was everything a camp wedding should be—laid-back, joyful, and deeply personal. Nestled between the trees and Lake George, their weekend-long celebration combined vintage charm with thoughtful details, creating a lakeside experience full of love, fun, and intentional design.

A Ceremony With Heart (And a Four-Legged Flower Girl)

Their ceremony took place in a wooded lakeside clearing surrounded by tall trees and warm sun. Guests sat on wooden benches facing an aisle lined with layered vintage rugs. At the start of the aisle stood two fern-topped pillars and a pair of oars repurposed into a floral arch—an ode to camp life and the couple’s love of nature.

One of the most memorable moments? Tess and Will’s beloved dog, who trotted down the aisle as the flower girl and ring bearer, wearing a lion latch holding the rings. The couple’s close friend officiated a heartfelt ceremony that included a unity tree planting and personalized vows.

A Canoe Bar & Lakeside Lounge

Cocktail hour took place on the patio outside the reception hall, where Adirondack chairs and vintage lounge furniture invited guests to settle in and soak up the lakeside views. A canoe filled with beer, soda, and seltzer added a playful, nostalgic touch.

The Traveling Tavern served signature drinks while guests nibbled on a massive 9-foot charcuterie spread and passed hors d’oeuvres. The atmosphere was relaxed and festive—exactly what Tess and Will envisioned for their celebration.

Reception in the Great Camp Hall

Inside the historic reception hall, Tess and Will created a romantic and vintage-inspired setting with handcrafted touches throughout. Guest tables featured soft greenery runners, taper candles in varied heights, and bins of ready-to-place decor for setup.

The sweetheart table repurposed ceremony florals and bouquets for a thoughtful and sustainable design touch. A vintage suitcase collected cards while the guest book—a ceramic pot to be used for their unity tree—invited doodles and messages throughout the day.

Instead of traditional favors, guests took home jars of Tess’s homemade pickles. A cupcake table and cake topped with miniature Adirondack chairs rounded out the dessert display.

Dancing in the Pit

Guests danced the night away on the sunken dance floor, affectionately called “the pit,” under string lights and a glowing disco ball. DJ Dean kept the party going from the stage above. Every part of the evening—from the playlist to the last cupcake—was infused with joy and authenticity.

A Wedding That Felt Like Camp

Tess and Will’s Adirondack Camp wedding was more than a party. It was a full weekend of community, connection, and shared memories. Guests stayed in cabins, explored the lake, and returned to a space filled with love.
