Katie and Carter’s August wedding at Valcour Inn & Boathouse blended romance, style, and heartfelt details. With wildflower-inspired florals and thoughtful design, their day felt like a summer garden party on Lake Champlain.
They filled the celebration with personality—from vintage elements to a neon sign glowing above the dance floor. Every detail reflected their joy, love, and intention.

A Lakeside Ceremony with Heart
The ceremony took place just steps from the water. A birch arbor framed with soft greenery and blooms set the stage. Boston ferns and Venetian veils flanked the aisle, which offered every guest a perfect lake view.
Reserved signs marked family seats. A custom sign guided the rest to open seating. Katie’s aunt officiated the ceremony, which included a heartfelt reading from the maid of honor.

Cocktail Hour in the Sun
Guests gathered outside the boathouse for cocktail hour. Servers passed signature gin-based drinks on trays. A custom bar menu in gold-rimmed frames added modern-retro flair.
Three cocktail tables featured bud vases filled with handpicked wildflowers. Lounge areas with Adirondack chairs overlooked the lake. Guests soaked in the view while mingling.

A Reception with Purpose and Personality
Inside the boathouse, each table glowed with votives and low floral centerpieces. Brass card holders displayed table numbers beside carved bird ornaments—one per table, gifted to a lucky guest.
Soft pink napkins, brass accents, and amber and clear glassware added layers of color and texture. The head table included taper candles and florals. A table of honor seated parents, grandparents, and the officiant.
Above the fireplace, a neon sign added modern flair to the romantic design.

Meaningful Details, Joyful Moments
Instead of favors, guests snapped Polaroids for the guestbook. A custom cardinal cake topper, carved by Katie’s grandfather, decorated the display cake. Guests enjoyed Austrian sheet cake from Rambach’s Bakery.
From a lakeside ceremony to an intimate dinner, the day felt authentic and joyful. Every detail—from the seating chart to bird ornaments—reflected the couple’s story.

A Lake Side Wedding with Heart
Katie and Carter’s wedding proved that intentional design creates heartfelt celebrations. From lakeside vows to photo booth strips, every moment felt personal.
